Final Pair
Having operated over 100 Marshall Capital-bodied Dennis Darts that originated with the London fleets, First Cymru is now down to the final pair, having earlier this year withdrawn the last W-reg and X-reg examples that had been converted to PSVAR specification.
The two survivors (41489 & 41491) are 8.9m variants that transferred to South Wales in December 2009. The third member of the batch - 41490 - moved on First Bristol in 2014.
Both are based at Port Talbot depot, though they do sometimes appear at Maesteg sub-depot, usually on the services that specifically require shorter vehicles.
41491 was operating on Port Talbot depot's Service 86 (Neath-Baglan-Port Talbot) in this late October 2017 shot taken on Ffordd Baglan in the town.
