Beacons MetroCity
The Swansea to Brecon service, operated by New Adventure Travel under contract to Powys County Council, joined the Welsh Government's Traws Cymru last September.
As well as being renumbered from X63 to T6, the Weekday Daytime frequency was increased to hourly and a Sunday timetable was introduced.
The former mixture of Alexander Dennis Enviro300s, an Optare Versa and a relatively youthful Alexander Dennis E20D continued on the service for the first few months. However, these have now been replaced by four 65-plate 11.1m Optare Metrocitys, though the 15-plate E20D acts as a back-up vehicle. The MetrocItys have been sourced from within the existing fleet, and after an initial period in fleet livery, all now sport the now familiar white and green livery inspired by Crosville Wales's fleet colours, with appropriate branding.
This mid May 2017 Sunday shot is of YJ65 EPA as she heads north on the A4067 between Tafarn-y-Garreg and Crai, Brecon bound.
