Safe Yellow - 1

I'm convinced that with the trend over the last ten years or so in repainting school contract vehicles to emulate American Yellow School Buses, the likes of B&Q and Wickes probably stock a shade of paint called "Safe Yellow" which is bought by bus companies in large quantities. I jest.

Harris Coaches of Fleur-de-Lys has adopted such an all-over yellow livery for five of these stylish Plaxton Verde-bodied Volvo B10Bs that are used on school contracts. New to City of Oxford in dual-door configuration, they have been converted to single-door and upseated to 62 in 'three plus two' configuration. Single examples of similar vehicles that originated with Oxford can also be found in the fleets of Stagecoach in South Wales and Edwards of Llantwit Fardre.

Demonstrating her neat conversion, 17 (N613 FJO) was captured at the Gelligroes roundabout when undertaking an afternoon run in June 2011.
