Step Inside - 1

This was an interesting situation. In Spring 2012, First Cymru needed a Dennis Dart and First Hampshire & Dorset had a spare one with an MoT. The only downside was that it was a step-entrance variant. Nonetheless, unusual UVG Urbanstar-bodied 47307 arrived in the April, and after entering service the following month, became the only step-entrance single decker at Swansea Ravenhill depot.

She was used almost exclusively on Service 27 (Penplas-Penlan-City Centre) for some reason, and despite being completely non standard, lasted until the December. Ironically she was replaced by another Dart transferred from First Hampshire & Dorset - one of a trio with low-floor Plaxton Pointer bodies (40793-5). She ended her days being sold for scrap to Alpha Recovery in May 2013.

In this August 2012 photograph, she is passing through a damp St Mary's Square in Swansea, unsurprisingly operating on Service 27.
