Chicago & Western Indiana RR -- 8 Photos
Looking into Dearborn Station on May 13, 1964 from Chicago's Roosevelt Road Viaduct. The three locomotives are: at the right is a Monon RS2 and the other two are C&WI RS-1s.
The Chicago & Western Indiana Railroad was the owner of Dearborn Station in Chicago and the trackage leading to it. It was owned equally by five of the railroads using it to reach the terminal, and kept those companies from needing their own lines into the city. In 1994 it became a subsidiary of the Union Pacific Corporation.
