This young Third Trick Operator-Leverman at the CB&Q's Montgomery Illinois Tower on September 11, 1964 was taking a self-portrait the right way -- tripod and shutter delay

The lit light of the four at the right shows a train that just went passed the tower is headed for Aurora. The green sheets of paper hanging diagonally in front of the operator are copies of Train Orders recently issued by the tower operators. Most of them were no doubt for trains headed down the branch. Behind the operator is the long row of levers.
