Charles Connor
Llanrwst, North Wales
Built as a dwelling in 1480, Tu I'r Bont (Beyond the Bridge in Welsh) is considerably older than the bridge over the River Conwy which leads to it. Built originally as a farmhouse, it became a Courthouse during the 16th century. During the last century it was acquired by The National Trust. More than fifty years ago it became a traditional Welsh cafe, serving delicious cakes, teas and coffee, plus many other delights!
