Goudy Coal Empties
An empty Conrail coal train rolls into Binghamton, NY, from Westover crossing the Chenango River. This train is on what was known as the Vestal Spur. It was actually originally the DL&W mainline. The coal is burned at the New York State, Electric & Gas Goudy Station. That energy plant was a well know producer of pollutants as was decommissioned in 2011, never to return. It's since has been leveled.
