Smoothing Things Over

In order to rile up the troops after purchasing the Delaware & Hudson, Canadian Pacific reached out to the employees and their families by running "picnic trains". This one being the first of such running sported two freshly painted MLW C242's ran between Binghamton, NY and Oneaonta to the "railroad park" is witnessed through Bainbridge, NY. At Oneonta they met a picnic train from Albany that sported D&H painted geeps. A gathering of friends and co-workers that normally would see each other when just passing on the rails. This was a fine gesture by the new owners.
