Throwback Thursday

Another shot along the Albany & Susquehanna Division of the Delaware & Hudson for today, but this time while it was still the real D&H. This was a hot sultry August evening in 1979 and I encouraged my mother that it would be a bit cooler to take out the 73' Chrysler Newport with the AC cranked up and head over the hill to Sidney than try and suffice the heat at home. I was 14 at the time, so a chauffeur was needed. After checking the signals at Sidney, a green indicated an eastbound must be out of Binghamton, so west we drove until we ran into something. This was the catch of the day right before it got too dark at Afton, NY.

Canon AE-1, 50mm, Kodak Gold 100 ASA print, however this scanned from a positive conversion.
