Australian Bush Buds

Not much is happening in the evergreen Australian bush at this time of year (Autumn). But I did spot these flower buds about to unfurl on an Australian native Grevillea.

Whilst these Grevilleas can put on a magnificent floral display in the warmer months, in colder times the display is sporadic and sparse.

This image was captured for the Macro Mondays theme: "into the woods". Captured with 100mm macro lens + 36mm extension tube.
