High Key High Tea

This guy built his web across our veranda. On taking this shot, I was initially concerned he was going to drop onto me, or leap onto the front of the camera lens. Such a confrontation would surely end in death for one of us!

 

However, as I watched this guy quietly go about his life for an hour or more through the lens, I couldn't help but feel a degree of admiration. I don't want anything to harm this spider now.
