[2605] Fontaine du Jardin Anglais, Genève

The fountain sculptured by Mathurin Moreau, French sculptor, and placed in June 1863. The four seated figures around the central column are Poseidon, Amphitrite, Acis (spirit of the Acis River in Sicily, lover of Galatea) and Galatea. Around the upper part are four putti representing sea-faring, fishery, agriculture and unknown.
