Half -Drop Repeat print
I have produce a half drop repeat pattern. I created an icon by hand scanned it in. I cleaned the image in photoshop. I then added colours in it,using photoshop tools. copy tool to copy the section to re colour then paste on the other layer, change the colour by using paint bucket tool.
I then open the image size and select image size and write down its pixels.then I use offset palette, and divide the vertical pixels image size by two, typing this amount into vertical value box and leave the horizontal value as a 0.
then I changed the canvas size the width is 200 percent and select the left middle anchor box. then I use the image which I already copied and I pasted to the far right . then flatten the entire image.
I then had motif of half drop pattern then I defined that motif in defined pattern an named it half drop motif. I then open new document and fill it with selected pattern to retrieve the newly created pattern . I then flatten the image.
I was inspired by Clare Burchell. I wanted to incorporate her style in my own prints. As he used drop repeat print i his work
