For many years Isle Coaches of Owston Ferry operated services 291 and 399 from the company's home village to both Doncaster and Scunthorpe, with the occasional through journey. Sadly this all came to an end in the summer of 2022, with both services running for the last time on Saturday 11 June, when this photograph was taken in Scunthorpe Bus Station. FX51 WYG is a former Dublin Bus Volvo B7TL (original registration 01-D-10213), turned out to the operator's usual high standards. A small notice in the windscreen indicates that this is the last day of service by Isle Coaches (limited replacements were to be provided under contract to North Lincolnshire Council by Hornsby's and Stagecoach). The bus is about to operate the penultimate 399 departure from Scunthorpe, the 1347 to Westwoodside via Gunness, Belton, Epworth, Owston Ferry and Haxey. (Photo taken 11 Jun 2022, posted 23 Nov 2022)
