Looking at part of the FS depot (and venturing no further) from across presumably a transverser stand locos 880 108, 740 352 (furthest, in steam) and a second Class 740, unidentified, beside the building.
The group probably represents a typical allocation of steam types for Udine of the day. Charming 880 108 is one of a design for use on secondary lines while Class 740 is a standard heavy freight type found across the FS network.
Memory tells me of a general belief that staff weren't over enthusiastic to allow depot visits and so this spot is probably near to the entrance.
Udine lies in the Adriatic region of the north-east of Italy.
