ExTCDD loco 45160 | Swanage, UK | 1989

Swanage Railway's Gala 1989 is treated to a demonstration freight with newly repatriated star loco Class 8F 45160 after a working life in Turkey since 1941.

After much deliberation loco 45160, in extant TCDD condition, passes Herston at about 11.00.

Homecoming in this year was made by way of Mersin, the Turkish Mediterranean port, to Immingham UK.
