Climbing the Alpe d'Huez in the fight against cancer.

 

Alpe d'HuZes is an event where people (solo or as a team) raise as much money as possible for the fight against cancer, by climbing the Alpe d' Huez by bicycle or on foot. Participants climb the mountain up to a maximum of six times in one day. (Quite an achievement.)

 

Alpe d'HuZes is a word pun.

Zes means six in Dutch. The participant climb the mountain up to a maximum of six times in one day. Alpe d'HuZes and Alpe d'Huez almost sound the same in Dutch.

 

The Alpe d'Huez is a mountain climbed regularly in the Tour de France.
