A man I met in Italy who had devoted his life to self-taught art. He made the most incredible sculptures out of tools and recycled containers, and had made the most amazing inlay-wood-cabinetry I've ever seen. Everything in his 3-story house, from the staircase (completely made of wood without any nails or adhesives) to the furniture to the fireplace (intricate stone carvings and scenes from antiquity) were hand-made by him, with no thought for profit or fame. One of the most amazing people I've ever met.
