D48 on a ballast
Cootes English Electric loco D48 runs a short consist of AHBF ballast hoppers to Kalgoorlie at Bonnie Vale on 15-11-09.
Five D class numbered D47 to D51 were built for Goldsworthy mining modelled one WAGR K class from 1967, D48 originally numbered no 7 for Goldsworthy. The 5 locos were transferred to BHP Port Kembla in 1994. In 2004 D48 was sold to South Spur Rail passing into Cootes ownership later on and painted into the Cootes scheme as pictured on 10-8-08.
D48 was scrapped at Midland on 27-6-14
