Joint Making Procedure
Each mold was located on the jig where it can easily be worked upon. Apply mold release spray to all the molds. In order to create the joint you must mix the epoxy until both the resin and the hardener are one. Then place the pieces of fiberglass in the epoxy and saturate them. While the fiberglass is being saturated, apply epoxy to the bottom mold. After the fiberglass is saturated, lay it in the bottom mold. Apply all bamboo and bike parts to the mold at this time. Then apply epoxy to the top of the bamboo as well as the top mold. Now fold the fiberglass over onto the top of the bamboo and bike pieces. Then place the top piece of the mold on and bolt it shut. Once the mold is sealed, inject the mold with more epoxy until it is completely filled. Allow the epoxy to cure. These steps are listed in great detail in this picture.
