Then there was a light at the end of the pier.

Clevedon is a beautiful Victorian seaside town overlooking the Severn Estuary.

The town, by Junction 20 of the M5, is just 13 miles from Bristol and 10 miles from Weston-Super-Mare with good public bus links to both major towns.

Popular features include Clevedon Pier, a grade 1 listed building, Clevedon sea front with pebbled beaches and a marine lake, ornamental gardens and a Victorian bandstand all within a 10 minute walk of each other.

Next to the Marine Lake is the Salthouse Field with a light railway running around the perimeter and a nearby mini-golf centre.

All of which are a hit for families with young children.

Clevedon is a beautiful spot all year round for taking a stroll along the promenade, overlooking the beach, enjoying fish and chips or an ice-cream in the summer.

There are a selection of stylish cafes and restaurants situated next to Clevedon Pier, to sit back and take in the fantastic scenery.
