Titans Pt.3 New Recruits
Eventually after a night on the town or to rephrase, taking down organized crime, one of Dick’s regular routines we stopped back at the same hotel room that we were staying in. We got changed back into regular clothes, and then sat down to discuss the rather dim future of our team.
“So, right now it’s just us three…well, does anyone know any teenage superheroes that need help?” Donna asks, a little bit tired after all that. Suddenly Wally grabs his forehead.
“What’s wrong Wally?” I ask, worried that we’ll be down a man.
“It’s…nothing” he stutters, it probably hurts, but knowing him, he’ll heal up quickly.
“Anyways, you’ve heard about that show Space Trek?” he then says, kind of randomly.
“You mean the one Star Trek sued because it basically stole, and renamed elements from it.”
“No, the other one” Wally says jokingly, then gets back on track.
“Anyways, the Green Alien on the show, his actor Garfield Logan, I’m pretty sure he was the Beast Boy from the Doom Patrol.”
“Wow, that’s great, but won’t he be on the other coast” I ask, trying to make sure I don’t end up traveling the seven seas just to see a green guy.
“Nah, I’m pretty sure he’s in NY, that’s where they dropped him” relieved that I won’t have to go far, I decide to man up and check him out.
“Alright, tomorrow morning I’ll go find him, now I think I’m going to hit the hay” they probably agreed with me, but I don’t really remember, I was cold out.

The next day I got up quickly, I didn’t have trouble finding Garfield, just had to go around a bit. He was staying in an apartment in Dixon street. I made my way to his apartment, and knocked. I heard him slowly get out of bed, and make his way to the door.
“W-who is it?” he asks, rather tiredly.
“Mr. Logan, my name is Garth, if you could meet me at this diner in ten or so minutes, we can discuss a certain project I have” I then slip a piece of paper with the address, and head to the place, which was another location of the same place that me Dick, Donna, and I met up at, so it looks the same. Eventually I get seated. Gar walks in, and heads over here.
“So…why’d you need a green guy for your little project?” he asks, seemingly a little bit interested.
“Well it’s not really an acting project” I then take out a paper and hand it to him. It takes him a minute or two but he reads it over and then puts it down.
“So Gar, Beast Boy, are you interested?”
“Why not, but I have one condition” he says, while moving to the beat of the music playing low key in the background, blocked out by all the chatter.
“What is it?” I ask, careful to make sure he doesn’t have second thoughts, I have to create a welcoming feeling.
“I don’t want to be called Beast Boy, I’d prefer a new name.”
“What’s that” I ask, genuinely curious, after what happened with the Doom Patrol, what made him change.
“I want to be called Changeling, and I’ll even make my own suit.
“Alright, I’ll contact you again once we have our base set up, Titan” I smile and walk out, one down, however many more to go.
