End of the day

The winter of 1994-1995 was especially hard on this region of Quebec. After a few days of no new snow the high winds are still causing a lot of drifting on the Gaspe peninsula . With only passenger trains running east of Chandler it was necessary for a plow to be run ahead of the VIA Chaleur. After a 200 mile run CN Plow Extra with M-420 # 3569 has turned on the wye and backed in alongside VIA F-40PH-2 # 6430 at Gaspe, Quebec Feb. 13, 1995. The MOW and train crew on the plow are tying up for the day. You would never know from the picture but its flat ground here along the tracks without the snow.
