Enter Daylight

Chaleur Bay RS-18 # 1856 exits the east portal of the tunnel in Port Daniel, Quebec with a ballast train on Oct. 4, 2010. Except for the short lived copper train, freight trains exiting the tunnel were hard to come by in daylight. The eastbound VIA train was always possible here and the west portal on the longer days of the year.
