Crossing the Penobscot River from Brewer to Bangor is the Bucksport train with ST GP-35 # 211, MEC GP-40 # 347 Train BA-2 Bangor, ME July 28, 2003. Taken for granted the normal 7 day run at the time is now a sporadic run to haul scrap from the closed paper mill that was the life line of the branch.
