Painted Lady Butterfly - A Lifer!
I have been trying to find a Painted Lady Butterfly for the past three years. There always seems to be an abundance of American Lady Butterflies here but not the Painted version. (In fact, I posted an American last week on my photostream).
Strangely, as of Sept. 1st, the Painted version are all over the place. In fact, I had 12 of them in one garden in the yard yesterday! This photo is my lifer photo - I was thrilled when I finally got it.
