Long-eared Owl - A Lifer Shot!!

Larry spotted this Long-eared Owl sleeping in a Buckthorn Tree late last week. Talk about exciting! Prior to this, I had not seen one up close before and certainly never had an opportunity to take a picture. This beauty did open its eyes once to look at me for a few seconds but then decided I was not worthy of a second look. So glad we were able to get a few photos without disturbing its beauty sleep :)
