Hotbank Crags, Hadrian's Wall
Wild thyme, Thymus serpyllum, growing with grasses on a 30-40 foot section of the wall and looking glorious in the sunshine. Sadly when we returned 2 years later the thyme, together with the top layer of stones, had disappeared. So sad.
