Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus).

One of my favourite images from last winter, when several Short-eared Owls were showing well locally.

 

On one session, Paul let me use his 600mm lens and thanks to him I was able to get this shot. Needless to say, it wasn't very long before I bought my own 600mm!!
