Greenpeace forest defenders have been setting up photo booths outside of Best Buys stores around Canada, asking the public, and asking best buy customers, to encourage Best Buy to do better!
Each year, Best Buy sources as much as 100 million pounds of paper from Canada’s Boreal Forest. This is a massive amount! Instead of sourcing their paper sustainably, Best Buy risks trashing ancient forests for throw-away flyers. This is bad news for the climate, bad news for species like the woodland caribou, and bad news for the overall health and diversity of our forests.
