The Jitong Line, China 2000-2005

I made several trips to the Jitong Line over a period of five years. Maybe I spent too much time on industrial railways elsewhere in China and not enough on the jitong Line.

My first trip in 2000 took the form of a steam-hauled ride from Zhelimu near Tongliao to Benhong at the western end of the line. There were several breaks in the journey for lineside and depot photography.

I made further visits in autumn 2004 and early 2005 just before the completion of dieselisation.

The captions are a bit sketchy as I only have electronic records from 2004 onwards. All the images are scans of colour slides. The album is complete.
