11/19/14 Final Research Question
Created by the German-American artist Hans Haacke, Condensation Cube is a very unique piece of art that explores natural processes with a combination of plexiglass and water. The combination of the water within the cube, the temperature that most museums art set to, and the properties of the plexiglass result in the recreation of the natural process of evaporation and condensation. It is an excellent example of both the recreation of a natural process, and the manipulation of environment that humans are capable of. It does this in a very innovative manner.
This is actually pretty inspiring in terms of my 3D project, especially since I was sort of thinking in a natural process direction already (after I got over my planet idea, of course). I think displaying natural processes or the way that terraforming changes and creates them would work really well within my piece.
