Selenicereus macdonaldiae

A quick google search gave me the name of this cactus flower. Otherwise known as the "Queen of the Night". Very apt!

 

This flower appeared so suddenly it shocked me, I had just watered the garden and went out to pick some tomatoes about half hour later for dinner and WOW is all I could say. Not sure the photo does it justice, but it is so beautiful. Only flowers at night, this morning it is all closed up again.
