Built to last
HMS Caroline is the last surviving warship of the WWI Battle of Jutland. She has been berthed at Alexandra Dock in Belfast since 1923.
Built in 1914 in Birkenhead, HMS Caroline was one of the fastest warships of the time, capable of speeds of up to 30 knots.
Whilst an impressive vessel (even today), the need for warships is a sad proof of humanity's fallen nature.
Thankfully, the Bible promises a day when all nations will be at peace. It will not be brought about by our present world leaders however. The prophet Micah (in circa 750BC) wrote about that era of peace, which will come only when the Messiah (Jesus Christ) returns and establishes His kingdom on earth:
Micah 4:3
And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
