Dark Matter
Astrophysicists have hypothesized the presence of dark matter to account for discrepancies between the mass of astronomical objects measured by their gravitational effects and as calculated from observable matter (stars, gas and dust) that they visibly contain. Their gravitational effects suggest that their masses are much greater than the observable matter survey suggests.
According to the theory, dark matter neither emits nor absorbs electromagnetic radiation at any significant level. According to the Planck mission team, and based on the standard model of cosmology, the total mass–energy of the known universe contains 5% ordinary matter, 27% dark matter and 68% dark energy.
Many think that scientists today have explained all the mysteries of the universe, but by their own admission, it appears that they know less than nothing about 95% of the universe! And of the 5% which they can account for, the more they learn, the more they realise they do not know.
Psalm 8:3-4
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
