Elements
It was on a visit to my sister's giftware shop where I first came across a vintage style globe in a lamp for sale. I took some shots and was fascinated by the interaction of camera optics with glass reflection and refraction. This inspired a studio piece 3 weeks later which was to become the Elements series. Passion & The Pursuit were processed from the original pre-shoot using a phone camera, and while the digital SLR delivered higher definition shots, it was interesting that the former amplified reflections to a greater extent.
The series has several themes one of which is Relationships and it's elements in the digital age.
The second theme is Civilisation and it's intersections with development of machines seeking advantage. Do we have the sense to engineer and regulate machina that are biology friendly?
