In this series I decided to play with light, shade, filters and tone within the post production software. Some might question whether this is photography, which is fair enough, but what exactly is photography in the digital world? With regards to equipment, the optics may have light filters or coatings or unique refractive characteristics by design. The internal sensor of each camera will have individual light capturing characteristics by design. Software will have distinct processing attributes when creating a compressed picture file by design, and I doubt a photo is published without some sort of post processing, albeit not at this extreme. To me, digital photography is not a mirror of the world, but an expression of perception, manifested from machina and the photographer's eye.
