2nd Alarm - 50 McMurray Ave.

June 10, 2011 - 9:56am - West Command - "A" Shift

Car 42 requested a 2nd alarm on arrival to a 3-storey house with a well-involved fire on the 2nd floor. Crews quickly initiated an attack, and set up to protect exposures. Firefighters were then able to knock down the bulk of the flames, however fire had gotten between a false ceiling and the roof, and into the walls around the dormer windows, requiring a lot of overhaul to put out spot fires. P424 crew were able to rescue a dog from the house, and one firefighter received a minor leg injury while operating within the structure.
