NYK 473E
1967 Ford Cortina Deluxe 4-door.
1298cc.
Anglia Car Auctions, King's Lynn -
"Chassis number: BB93GL. This 1967 Ford Cortina MkII 1300 has been in long-term ownership for 54 years (since 1970) and always been garaged during that time. It's been unused for 30 years although, due to being kept in a heated integral garage, has survived well during that time. The vendor describes it as a good, solid unmolested example with what appears to be original panels and excellent inner wings. The bottom half has been painted at some point and isolated areas are revealing primer. Two years ago, the owner started a recommissioning programme, a Ford new old stock petrol tank was acquired and fitted, and the rear brakes were attended to, but age and a bad back stopped the process. The car does run and drive though after a new battery and carburettor repair. The brakes will need attention and a good look over the rest of the car will be required before road use due to the time in storage. It's rare for a Cortina of this age to come to market in such original condition; it should make a good winter project.
"Due to its period of inactivity, the car has fallen off the DVLA database and a new V5C will need to be applied for. It comes with limited paperwork consisting of the original fold-up green logbook, owner's handbook, lubrication and maintenance chart and Haynes workshop manual."
No reserve. Sold for £2592 including premium.
