Jensen's GT was a sporty estate derivative of the Jensen‑Healey convertible, built to capitalise on the then growing trend for performance load‑luggers, as popularised by the Reliant Scimitar GTE and Volvo P1800ES. Jensen was ailing at the time of its 1975 launch though, and went into liquidation the year afterwards, resulting in what was an innovative and practical performance machine disappearing too soon. Just 473 were built.

"This one was registered in December 1975, and has had three owners, according to its V5C, with the last one since 1986. Its odometer reading is just 34,323 miles, which is believed genuine by the vendor. Recent work includes a new fuel pump and cambelt for the Lotus‑derived 16‑valve 140bhp 1973cc engine.

"Present in the paperwork file are the current V5C, plus a past one, as as well as a copy of a Motoring News article on the GT from July 1975 and two copies of the Jensen Owners' Club magazine from November/December 2000 and March/April 2006."
