EW 9836
1936 Foden S-type 7½-ton flat in the livery of Charles Franklin & Sons, Much Hadham.
Supplied new to C Marston & Sons (flour millers) of Icklingham, Bury St Edmunds, by Foden agents, Coote & Warren, of St Ives, Huntingdonshire. It ended its working life with Harry Wooding on the local fairs held around the Cambridge area. It had a large luton body which carried his Cake Walk and it also towed his living van. It was sold to Ron Harris of Burwell in 1973.
The current owner purchased the lorry in 1975 and a superficial restoration was carried out with the luton body being replaced by the flatbed. A major restoration commenced in 1984 and is still ongoing. It is driven to and from all events under its own power.
