Marshall were Austin Rover dealers at this stage and this big dealership had a large used car display area. I can remember one thing that struck me about this garage is that it was at a lower level than the adjacent Newmarket Road. This was probably due to the area being built on old pit workings. This site has now been levelled and is occupied by B&Q.
