Upper Carrick Creek Falls

Here in view are the upper falls on Carrick Creek in Table Rock State Park amidst fresh spring greens and blooming Mountain Laurel.

This stair-step cascade forms the center piece of the upper falls series, with a smaller waterfall at the top, followed by a natural sluice, or water slide (however you want to look at or use it) which eventually runs off and forms the lower Carrick Creek Falls from my previous post.

The Carrick Creek Loop Trail follows this creek for most of its 2-mile trek, with several other spots for enjoying nature's wonders.

This area also converges into several other trail options, including the Table Rock Summit trail, which takes you to the top of Table Rock with magnificent vistas of the Blue Ridge Escarpment and the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the 4th of July weekend, and thank you for stopping by to view my photos!
