Reflections of birds
This shot was taken in Cannizaro park, a small landscaped park open to the public in Wimbledon, London. The site is wonderfully bright in spring, however the autumnal colours provided by the great oak trees, and the friendly birds make it an equally satisfying destination for a winter's afternoon wonder. I found these birds attempting an awkward waddle on the icy pond this new year's eve. The reflection was difficult to capture as it was around 1pm, and the temperature was hovering above zero, thus making the ice rather patchy. I suspect, by the careful movements, that the frustrations inflicted on these winged creatures were more chilling than mine.
