Hallgrímskirkja tower

Hallgrímskirkja is the landmark Lutheran church in Reykjavík (1945-1986). The tower is 73 meters high and it’s placed on top of a hill (Skólavörðuholt).

Hallgrímskirkja is the largest church in the country and is named for Hallgrímur Pétursson, author of the Passion Hymns.
