Sci-fi Landscape Study

This is a post apocalyptic world that killed off mother nature and reconstructed it with technology. They killed the trees but realized they provided essential nutrients and oxygen to live so they had to recreate tree-like machines that filtered the poisonous gas from the atmosphere and drew the only remaining bits of clean water from below the earths surface.
