A6-EGA Engine Failure
by Teutonic01
On 7 September 2016, Emirates B777 A6-EGA, operating EK432 from Dubai to Brisbane, diverted to Adelaide, South Australia, due to an engine fault.
It was eventually determined that A6-EGA would require an engine replacement.
On 11 September 2016, Emirates Sky Cargo B777 A6-EFD arrived in Adelaide with a replacement engine.
Over the next couple of days, the port side engine was replaced, with an engine test carried out on 13 September 2016. This is a short video of A6-EGA conducting the engine test on Adelaide Airport’s Runway 12/30.
A6-EGA was cleared for flight and departed Adelaide later that same day.
