Kanyaka Station
About 25 kilometres south of Hawker, South Australia, just off the Flinders Ranges Way, lies the ruins of Kanyaka Station.
It was originally established as a cattle station in 1852 and grew to become one of the largest stations in the region, switching from cattle to sheep.
After severe droughts and massive losses of sheep, the station was eventually abandoned.
