Our Response to the Homeless

Bucharest, Romania. I liked the symbolism of this stern patriarch turning his back on the homeless. Jesus said He came to serve and not be served. What does this have to do with building giant cathedrals, appointing politicians as priests, and amassing more wealth than celebrities? I'm a huge fan of Jesus and His church, but not a fan of religious institutions that use fear and manipulation to build their wealth on the backs of the oppressed.
